Apartment Floor Covering Replacement System Developed
Apartment owners can save as much as 25% or more on carpet and vinyl flooring replacement costs—without changing suppliers, vendors or flooring installers, according to Alan J. Fletcher, president of Accurate Flooring Management Inc., in Portland, Oregon.
With more than 25 years in the flooring business, Fletcher admits he's worked with hundreds of landlords that, until now, have had little or no control over their flooring replacement costs and were spending more than was necessary. His vision was to create a service to put power and control back into the hands of apartment owners and managers. Now completed, his new service is called The Comprehensive Flooring Management System.
According to Fletcher, the CFM System addresses every aspect of flooring replacement including material selection, communication, maintenance and repair procedures. The program also ensures full accountability from existing floor covering retailers, vendors and flooring installers, and can also include training for onsite maintenance personnel when needed.
One unique aspect of the service is called "Standardized Invoicing" which ensures invoice accuracy. "We go to great lengths to save the owner time and money. With our Standardized Invoicing program in place, our clients can't be overcharged for flooring materials or labor. This feature alone can save a great amount of money," says Fletcher
"As flooring efficiency experts, we have developed strategic ways to cut costs that are both new and innovative, but the real trick is knowing how and where to cut costs without sacrificing quality," Fletcher explains.
Fletcher went on to say that with his CFM System in place, landlords will eliminate more material waste and gain better installation workmanship. "An apartment owner with 300 units could easily be saving $5,000 or more each and every year, by implementing the CFM System. The more units in an apartment complex the more money can be saved," says Fletcher.
"When it comes to major expenditures like flooring replacements, apartment owners need to utilize the advice and experience of an independent expert in the field who has their best interests in mind. That's exactly what we offer," Fletcher remarked.
In addition, Fletcher says the CFM program can significantly reduce unit turnover time allowing units to be rent-ready in less time. "The CFM System is quick to implement, easy to use and the tangible savings far outweigh the cost of implementing the program. I am confident that the CFM system will eventually become the new industry standard and forever change the way apartment flooring replacements are handled."
